All about the Yacht Club “Voshod” (“Sunrise”)

What is The Bible Yacht Club “Voshod”?

The Biblical Yacht Club “Voshod” has been established at the Church of the Holy Blessed Prince Dimitry Donskoy in the Northern Butovo district of Moscow since 2016, and it brings together people willing to fearlessly sail on the ship of the Church to eternity – to the monastery called the Heavenly Kingdom, the God's Heaven.

According to the club's tradition, every year during Great Lent all its members join “Round the world sailing regatta” – Grand or Minor – on the Holy Scripture. In 2016 participants of the Grand Regatta fully read all the books of the Bible and those of the Minor regatta – mainly young seamen, children – read the New Testament (except for the book of Revelation) on their own or with the help of parents.

This short video will show you how it all began:

And now in 2017, after the first immersion into the sacred texts, we're beginning more in-depth acquaintance with the books of the Bible.

So we’re calling on all our members to start a new journey with the onset of Great Lent, and all those who are not yet joined our ranks, are invited to do so to become members of the “Round the world regatta” on the Holy Scripture too!

After all, anyone who inspires him/herself to go for this sail, will have a special help of God. This person will reinforce his/her health – spiritual and physical, s/he is surely to improve memory, to strengthen nervous system, to cleanse body and to exalt soul. A lot of things and events in life will be looked upon differently. In short, anyone who dares to make this spiritual speed march, will certainly get enriched, having acquired heavenly riches and having perceived him/herself as a partaker of the immortal heritage.
